Documentary credits (L/C)
For the importer:
- Fully electronic processing of your application to open an L/C: this includes generating, signing and forwarding it to BNP Paribas Fortis. By using the ‘templates’ and ‘standard phrases’ functions, you avoid duplicate or repetitive work.
- Online monitoring of your application’s status.
- Immediate availability of the SWIFT message sent to the foreign bank after the L/C has been opened by BNP Paribas Fortis. You can even forward the SWIFT message to your supplier by e-mail.
- You can make any amendments electronically.
- Availability of the payment details as soon as a payment is made for one of your L/Cs.
- Access to various reports, relating to a variety of criteria such as due dates, payments made and outstanding amounts. The file format (.pdf or .xls) allows you to send these reports by e-mail.

For the exporter:
- Availability of the details of the L/C as soon as BNP Paribas Fortis advises/confirms an L/C (opened in favour of your company).
- Online viewing of any amendments.
- Immediate availability of the payment details as soon as a payment is made under an L/C.
- Monitoring and checking of transactions using the report function.

Each time BNP Paribas Fortis releases a transaction, this is immediately announced to the Click 'n Trade user by e-mail. The field “subject” of the e-mail mentions the product type (L/C import, L/C export, ...), the event (issue, amendment and/or payment) and the reference of the transaction. This has the advantage that the Click 'n Trade user sees what has been released, without having to open the e-mail. And of course, at all times, the Click 'n Trade user can specify the product types and the events for which such an e-mail alert is required, or not.
Documentary collections
For the importer:
- On-line availability of all the details of the documentary collections presented via BNP Paribas Fortis in the name of your company.
- Tracking of all subsequent amendments.
- Availability of the payment details as soon as a payment relating to a documentary collection has been made.
- Generation of a variety of reports and possibility to send them by e-mail.
- E-mail alert (*)
For the exporter:
- Electronic transmission of your collection instruction entered in Click 'n Trade. By using the ‘templates’ and ‘standard phrases’ functions, you avoid duplicate or repetitive work.
- Online monitoring of your file.
- Online viewing of any amendments.
- Customised reports, which make it possible to monitor and check your documentary collections portfolio.
