All this combined in a secure, personalised and user-friendly online application, available throughout the integrated network of BNP Paribas Fortis as well for connection with third-party banks.

Getting started
Fortis Connect is a web-based application. All you need is an Internet browser in order to have the application started automatically each time you log on. Before doing so, special security software has to be installed locally. The contractual set-up of the system is carried out centrally by BNP Paribas Fortis. Fortis Connect allows for extensive segregation of functions as all users are provided with a smartcard (PKI security) and a personal code in order to gain access to the application.

- Funds transfers
Within Fortis Connect a broad variety of domestic and international payment types is supported for executing urgent payments, standing orders, direct debits and multi-bank payments.
- Authorisation of payment
Fortis Connect allows for extensive segregation of roles and entitlements. This includes the approval and release of payment instructions. For example payments can be approved up to certain amounts and/or combinations of designated users. In addition, the rights of users to authorise payments can be restricted to predetermined beneficiaries (i.e. intercompany payments).
- Importing payment files
As we are fully aware of the importance of a seamless interface with your ERP-system, Fortis Connect not only supports the various local formats, but also the main payment file formats MT101 and XML for SEPA credit transfers. In addition, when required, Fortis Connect enables you to input payments individually.
- Advanced reporting
Having timely and complete information about your bank balances is the key to taking the right decisions. Fortis Connect provides you with comprehensive intraday and end-of-day information. The data may be consulted online, the electronic statements can be printed as a CSV file and as a PDF file. In addition, an advanced search function helps you track individual transactions. The reporting function is not limited to the BNP Paribas Fortis network: reports can also be generated on third-party bank accounts.
- Exporting statements
Fortis Connect can export statements in various local formats as well as in the MT940-format. As such, a seamless interface to your ERP-software or treasury management system can be established.
