To be able to work with PC banking Business, your computer must fulfil certain technical requirements:
Equipment required
- IBM compatible PC with a minimum processor of: Intel Pentium 4 – 2.4 GHz processor (or AMD equivalent). Recommended processor: Intel Core 2 Duo – 2.8 GHz (or AMD equivalent).
- Available disk space: 25 megabytes. To verify this, check the properties of the local disk.
- Minimum 1 GB of RAM but 2 GB or more is recommended. To verify this, check the properties of the system or, if need be, contact your equipment dealer.
- Screen resolution: 1,024 x 768 or more, 16-bit colour. To check and adapt your screen resolution, consult the display properties (settings).
- Active broadband Internet connection: ADSL, cable or company LAN with broadband Internet access. If a broadband connection is unavailable, contact your Internet access provider.
- Microsoft Installer version 2.0 (or higher).
- Windows-compatible card reader (PC/SC Smart Card reader).
System required
- Windows 7.
- Windows Vista.
- Windows XP (SP 2 or higher).
- Windows 2000 SP4.
Please note: PC banking Business cannot be used on a Macintosh.
Internet browser required
Internet Explorer (version 7.0 (128-bit encryption) or version 8.0).
To verify which version of Windows you use
- Double-click on My Computer and choose the About option in the Help menu.
- Press the keys "Windows" and "R" on the keyboard. In the dialogue window type "winver" and then click on "OK".
- Click on the "Start" button, right-click on "My Computer", choose "Properties" and the "General" tab.
To verify the version of your browser with Windows:
- choose the About option in your browser's Help menu.
Microsoft is no longer providing support for Windows 95, 2000, Millennium or NT so you can no longer install security updates for these products. For this reason, PC banking is not usable with these systems.
Your browser's required configuration
In order to work with PC banking Business, your browser must be configured in a certain way. These configurations, which above all concern the SSL3 system (1) and cookies (2), are standard for most browsers, unless you use Windows 2000 SP 3 or higher.
(1) SSL3: the use of PC banking Business is fully secured by SSL3. SSL is the abbreviation of "Secure Socket Layer". This system allows you to secure the connection between the user and a website.
(2) Cookies:
your computer banking session is managed with the help of cookies. When you work with PC banking Business, it is therefore important that your browser:
- accepts all cookies from PC banking Business;
- does not display a warning when a cookie is placed on your computer. In fact, such warnings can impede the smooth running of PC banking Business.
